YOUTUBE SOCIAL: A GREAT TOOL FOR TEACHERS

Hello Teachers! 

Here is a wonderful tool for you to work with your students! You tube Social is a great way of watching videos in real time with your friends on YouTube. It can handle 8 people at the same time interacting via chat. If you have the remote control icon on your photo, you can do whatever you want to the video streaming. The ones invited can also login with their Facebook account, so, their pictures will appear on the boxes below the video. That makes the movie session even warmer, doesn't it? You just have to drag them to the area where it says: Drag Your Friends Here. It is very intuitive and you may not have big problems with it. You do not need much, just follow these steps:

1. Choose a video on You Tube. 
2. Instead of the usual adress (youtube.com) Write (youtubesocial.com). E.g. - Instead of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e82VE8UtW8A write this 
   http://www.youtubesocial.com/watch?v=e82VE8UtW8A

And then, you are ready to go!

A GREAT WEBSITE: LYRICS TRAINING

Se você é aluno ou professor e gosta de aprender ou ensinar inglês através de músicas, esse website com certeza atenderá suas necessidades! O site www.lyricstraining.com tem uma variedade de vídeos com diversos estilos de canções para todos os gostos. Ao iniciar o vídeo, você pode optar pelo nível da atividade: Beginner, Intermediate  ou Expert. Ao escolher seu nível, a letra da música aparece com alguns "blanks" para serem preenchidos no tempo certo da canção e se você se atrasar, o vídeo pára até que a palavra correta seja escrita e você perde pontos por não ter conseguido acompanhar a música! Você poderá tocar a parte que não entendeu quantas vezes for necessário. Se, por acaso, alguma letra que você digitou estiver errada, ela não aparecerá na tela. E no final da música após ter preenchido todos os "blanks" o site dará o resultado final da sua performance!

CAMBRIDGE DAY 2010 - RECIFE-PE

So here I am to talk about the Cambridge Day Event 2010. I've just got home and It was really nice, I could meet some of my old friends there and some of the new ones too! As I said before, this is a great opportunity for you to meet some new people and improve your skills on the language. I also had the opportunity of meeting 2 people from London and one from Canada. The speaker, Jeff Stranks, talked about Listening, Lexis and Learning. A great speech, funny and very meaningful. There were also raffles and I did not get anything... =(  LOL  But a lot of people did! =D

     Hello Everybody! Here I am again to tall you what happened at  Beit Yaacov School. The XII BRAZ-TESOL NATIONAL CONVENTION was really fantastic! There were lots of speakers and workshops going around that place, It was so amazing that It was difficult to choose what meeting to go! More than 300 in 4 days!! That's Awesome!! [=D] I was really impressed by all the thought given to this convention...I did not know It was something like that!
